Collective Bargaining

Collective bargaining agreements provide important rights and protections for law enforcement and first responders, but those protections are only useful when they are understood and enforced.

Chelf Law represents officers and first responders in matters involving contract rights, grievances, disciplinary procedures, arbitration, disputes with their agency, and appeals. Whether an issue involves discipline, working conditions, seniority, pay, or another provision of the agreement, having an attorney who understands both the language of the CBA and the realities of law enforcement can make a meaningful difference.

Chelf Law also represents law enforcement bargaining units in collective bargaining negotiations with their public employers. From preparing proposals and negotiating contract terms to addressing complex labor issues at the bargaining table, Chelf Law works to protect the interests of the officers the agreement is designed to serve.
